Never owned a BMW until now. Newbie just picked up a clean 94 740i. 98,000 mi in decent shape.
I've always been a classic car kinda dude, and drove mostly Cadillacs for the past 20yrs. Work on all my own cars and just about done restoring my 68 Buick. I gotta say, after only 3 days of testing this 740 out ill admit I might just have a new automobile manufacturer to add to my hobby list. Its a completely different car. I like it!

the car is clean and well taken care of, 98kmiles, runs good, interior is great, paint is nice, everything works with the exception of one seat motor.. I'll explain.

- starts and runs fine, does have a slight miss at idle. Can feel it. Although the motor is powerful and seems to run great otherwise
-one leak at power steering reservoir, leaks from the top. As if it was overfilled?
-1-2 shift seems to feel a little hard, maybe hangs a little more than I'm use to? Again in not familiar with these so I don't know what it should feel like. Everything else trans wise is great.
-drivers seat inner motor (near the seatbelt clip) is stuck. All the other motors function and move the seat but since that one is hung up it will push the seat crooked so I just leave as is.

I'm taking it in to a BMW specialist on Tuesday to have a full check up to see what I'm into, any hidden issues I may have to deal with. Is there any special requests I should have them inspect while its there?? Any tips or advice you guys could give me would be awesome! I like this car so far and hope to keep it for awhile.

That's a pretty low mileage for the age. Congrats on the purchase
